Laxfield village is just 1.5miles fom the cottage, there is a good cycle route and a great walk across the fields - perfect to work up an appetite for lunch at one of the two village pubs. Our personal favourite, The King's Head (or 'Low House' as it is known locally) is Egon Ronay recommended, it has great food and a lovely garden. The village also has a convenience store, which is open 7 days a week, a post office and a garage (which sells just about everything!).
